About Mocha Redemption Mocha Redemption is a Vancouver-based nonprofit dedicated to helping parents who have fallen behind on child support rebuild their lives through purpose, accountability, and community service. We believe that financial obligations can become acts of service, that when a parent gives their time and energy to help their community, they’re not only fulfilling a responsibility but also reclaiming dignity, confidence, and hope for their family’s future. Falling behind on child support can have painful consequences. Parents can lose their driver’s license, face jail time, have their tax returns seized, or, in the most heartbreaking cases, risk losing parental rights altogether. But behind every one of those consequences is a human being who wants to do right by their child and simply needs a chance to make it right. At Mocha Redemption, we believe there’s a better way, one built on compassion and accountability, not punishment. We offer parents the opportunity to meet their child support obligations through organized community service projects that directly benefit the neighborhoods around us. Every hour of work helps cover part of their obligation and shows that responsibility can be met through contribution, not despair. Our mission isn’t only about fulfilling payments, it’s about restoring pride, connection, and purpose. No child should ever feel like a burden because of financial hardship, and no parent should feel like a failure because they’re struggling to keep up. We’re here to bridge that gap helping families move from hardship to hope, one act of service at a time.
